Truckee City Council,
As a Tahoe Donner member, I do object to the Marina project as it is currently proposed. Here are the following
reasons:
1. Disability compliance can be achieved in much less obtrusive manner, as proposed by the Planning Commission.
2. The changes do not enhance the primary use of this site‐‐‐that of a marina. The changes will decrease ramp safety
and accessibility. It will also decrease picnic area with the proposed large patio areas.
3. The legitimate concerns of increased traffic, light and noise pollution, and environmental impact have been well
expressed by numerous groups. However, the Tahoe Donner management has seemingly disregarded other groups as
well as their own members' concerns.
I urge you to support the Planning Commission's denial of the proposed plan. I am disappointed, and frankly
embarrassed, by the organization's stubborn pursuit of an event center at the marina.
