Sorry Jenna, forgot to sign my email, here it is again...
I am writing to express my opposition to the Tahoe Donner Marina expansion as it is currently
proposed by Tahoe Donner. Removal of so many trees and the design as proposed is not conducive
to our mountain environment and the goals of Truckee. It is also not the place for large events, as
one general plan goal is to minimize conflicts between residential and recreational uses. This
development certainly seems in opposition of that goa. The plan is inconsistent with the master
plan; being within an area zoned residential and not meeting the community character element.
I would like to see Tahoe Donner, at minimum, revise the design as suggested by commissioner
Bruce Cornell and the amount of trees removed significantly reduced. Especially considering the
amount of opposition to the current plan. I would also like to see Tahoe Donner have to get special
use permits to monitor the events at the Marina.
