Subject: Tahoe Donner Association Beach Club Marina Improvement Project
We ask that the Truckee Town Council approve Tahoe Donner’s application for the Beach Club Marina
Improvement Project.
We have owned our home in Tahoe Donner since 1994. Of prime importance in choosing to buy in the
community was the variety and quality of amenities offered by Tahoe Donner Association (TDA), and the
ongoing maintenance and improvement which the Association invests in those amenities.
We are frequent users of the Beach Club Marina and wholeheartedly support the proposed improvement
project. We believe it will enhance the facility from the standpoint of safety, ADA-compliance, functionality
and appearance. Furthermore, it will be yet another TDA improvement that is code-compliant and one in which
the lighting, plantings, signage and hardscape are appropriate for the environment and consistent with the
design values of the Town of Truckee.
Since the planning process for the Beach Club Marina improvements began in 2011, TDA has made various
changes requested by the Town. We hope the Council will now approve the application so that the work may
move forward.
