Home My Public Portal AboutResolution 90-30101 RESOLUTION NO. 90 -3010 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY CONFIRMING THE VACATION OF ELM AVENUE BETWEEN ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD AND RENO STREET AND THE VACATION OF RENO STREET BE- TWEEN LAS TUNAS DRIVE AND ELM AVENUE IN TEMPLE CITY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, Elm Avenue, running between Rosemead Boulevard and Sultana Avenue and Reno Street between Las Tunas Drive and Elm Avenue, in the City of Temple City, was vacated by City Council Resolution No. 90 -2966 adopted on June 5, 1990. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 90 -2966 provided that such vacation shall not be effective until the Temple City Community Redevelop- ment Agency ( "Agency ") has obtained an order for immediate pos- session for the above portions of Elm Avenue and Reno Street pursuant to Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. C751608. WHEREAS, the Agency obtained an order for immediate posses- sion effective on July 11, 1990. WHEREAS, the City Council reserved certain public utility easements as described said Resolution No. 90 -2966. Section 1.. The City Council finds and determines that the effective date of the order for immediate possession in the case referenced above was July 11, 1990, which date is the effective date of the vacation of such portions of Elm Avenue and Reno Street as described in Resolution No. 90 -2966. Section 2. The City Council finds and determines that the reservation of easements for public utilities are not required in that portion of Elm Avenue described in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof and authorizes the City Manager to execute a quitclaim deed on behalf of the City to the Agency of such portion of Elm Avenue. Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of November, 1990.
