A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD (CITY) TO AUTHORIZE THE
TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF TITLE ON CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM
THE CITY TO THE LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (AGENCY)
~- WHEREAS, on July 23, 2001, the Agency approved Resolution No.
2001.024 authorizing the Agency's acquisition of five land parcels from the
California Department of Transportation. The Agency paid for all five parcels with
Project Area 'A' Tax Increment funds; and
WHEREAS, The County Recorder's Office inadvertently recorded the
properties as City property and not Redevelopment Agency property; and
WHEREAS, two of these parcels referred to as Los Angeles County
Assessor's Parcel Numbers 6175-001-902 and 6175-001-903 constitute the
Fernwood/Bullis Site; and
WHEREAS, the identified parcels are required to be recorded accurately
and the City and Agency desire to remedy the error by executing a transfer of
title.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approve and authorize the execution of necessary
documents to effectuate the transfer of title on properties referred to as Los
Angeles County Assessor's Parcel Numbers 6175-001-902 and 6175-001-903
~ from City to Agency for the purpose correcting an error in the recording of title
information by the County Recorder's Office.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17`h day of March, 2009.
