SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The attached grant application is for drainage improvements in a large part of the south side of town, known as Basin 13. The total project cost is $284,524:
$183,535 is requested from EPA and local cash match of $77,024 and local in-kind match of $23,965 will be provided. All construction and local cash match will occur in FY02.
The proposed
construction will complete the preliminary design prepared by Toothman-Orton in 1997. This work will complement the efforts of the South Corridor Task Force on SH55. Replacement of water
and sewer lines will occur at the same time. Further grant funding, developer contributions and LID funding will be pursued for the additional work.
A final application will be submitted
by October 2, if approved by Council.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize the Mayor to sign the application and submit for funding.
