SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Mr. Woodworth was attempting
to purchase Salmon Air and had a lease transfer approval from the City Council, however, the transaction did not take place.
Mr. Woodworth and Mr. Mike Dorris, owner of McCall Air
Taxi, have agreed upon the sale of McCall Air Taxi to Mr. Woodworth. The anticipated closing date is Dec. 1, 2000. Mr. Woodworth is requesting a transfer of the current lease. Mr.
Woodworth is purchasing the entire building and will sub-lease the back 1/3rd of the hangar to McCall Air Taxi. McCall Air Taxi will continue to operate on a smaller scale. Mr. Woodworth
will take over the fuel sales and plans on expanding his FBO services in the future. The Airport Committee reviewed the sale and both parties will be able to comply with the current
Airport Minimum Standards. This should have an overall positive impact on the operations at the airport by increasing the number of FBO’s providing service to the airport customers.
The Airport Committee and Airport Manager recommend the lease transfer and also request approval of the sub-lease to McCall Air Taxi.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the lease
transfer and the sub-lease to McCall Air Taxi.
