Regular meeting;
Council met in regular session, Mayor Ross presiding., and

Irlinutes of Jan 3rd and 2^.th were read and on motion by Kruse
second by Otiones approved as read.
It was moved by Luwe seconded by Okones that we buy 6 firemen
coats and 9 fireman caps for the Firemen, motion carried,

It was moved that H L Luwq Geo Lindaman, Ns±ixOkzxxs be appointed
as Judges; and Neil Okones and Thos Claaseen be appointed as Clerks
for the s pecial Election to be held on 8th day of February, -
motion carried.
Treasurers report was read,and ordered placed on file.

Special Meeting of the Council, called by the Mayor for the purpose
of considering the oiling of streets, and the purchase of
Road Oil .
Councilmen present Okones, Lindaman and Luwe-;

It was moved by Luwe and second by Lindaman that the Mayor
be authorized to enter into contract with the Iowa Road Building
Company, Des Moines for 14,000 gal Road Oil # 2 Special
delivered for Five and 22/100 cents per gallon, subject to
cancellation in the event that the Town does not oil streets
in 1940. Motion carried. on roll call,
Ayes- Luwe- Lindaman- Okones. Nays None
absent- Haack and Kruse.
Mayor declared motion carried.
There being no fubther business it was moved to adjourn.
