The City is eligible for these funds due to the efforts of John Lewinski and the Public Works Department staff. A $20,000 match must be provided. Existing, planned expenditures can be used for the match amount. The attached grant application details the proposed uses of the grant: “engineering, planning and technical assistance used to prepare the recent drinking water SRF [State Revolving Fund] Application” and other water plant engineering activities. Resolution 00-23 authorizes Robert Strope to “sign applications, grant agreements and amendments, and other documents relating to drinking water facilities planning grants.”  RECOMMENDED ACTION: Pass Resolution 00-23, authorizing Robert Strope to submit the DEQ Planning Grant application and sign the necessary documents.  RECORD OF COUNCIL ACTION  Meeting Date Action         RESOLUTION NO. 00-23 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER ROBERT STROPE TO SIGN ALL APPLICATIONS, GRANT AGREEMENTS AND AMENDMENTS, AND OTHER DOCUMENTS RELATING TO DRINKING WATER FACILITIES PLANNING GRANTS. WHEREAS, the City of McCall intends to develop a plan for drinking water facilities for the City of McCall; such plan being necessary to determine the needs of the area for the health, safety, and well being of the people; and WHEREAS, the plan is to be developed in accordance with the requirements of Public Law 92-500 and 95-217, and will set forth drinking water facilities required to be constructed to serve the needs of the area; and WHEREAS, the costs of the planning of the drinking water facilities are eligible for state funding; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of McCall, Idaho, that City Manager Robert Strope is duly authorized to sign applications, grant agreements and amendments, and other documents relating to drinking water facilities planning grants.
