Dear Denyelle,
I am writing my concerns about the proposed Canyon Springs
development. Truckee has General Plan Goals which are being ignored.
Goal LU -3 "Create efficient land use patterns which reduce
environmental impacts and minimize residential sprawl ". There are
several developments in Glenshire not sold out yet. Is there a need for
more housing, or for a development of this size to create sprawl?
I support CDFW's concern for the deer population decline. I live
on their migration route. They go through my property both ways every
night, spring, summer, and fall- numbers declining. What will 185 new
houses on this route do to the herd?
Look again at the projections for increased traffic and its impact,
including its danger for bicyclists.
I submit Reduced Density would reduce greatly the majority of
environmental impacts.
Thank you for taking a serious look at the impacts of such a large
development on the outskirts of Glenshire.
