Dear Ms. Nishimori,
Thank you for providing the forum for this discussion. The following are some of my concerns regarding the proposed
Canyon Springs development and its RDEIR:
Does this project fit in with what we all envisioned with the Town of Truckee General Plan?
I am concerned that the overall impact of construction of the infrastructure for the Canyon Springs project has not been
addressed. Our time, road deterioration, air quality and environmental resources should be considered.
What will the long range impact be upon Districts’ and the Town of Truckee’s ability to provide services? The RDEIR does
not address the impact of an abandoned partially completed project. A fully funded mitigation plan should be implemented as
soon as project construction begins.
The RDEIR must consider the possibility of the Canyon Springs project contributing to the eutrophication of Glenshire Lake
and its ramifications.
The RDEIR needs analyze the safety concerns for bicyclists who ride up and down Glenshire Drive, between Martis Peak
Road and I-80 en route to and from Boca Reservoir and Stampede Meadows.

The increased traffic resulting from the project upon Glenshire Drive will impact the safety of entrance and egress to the
Glenshire Trailhead. It is already challenging. The prospect of more cars on Glenshire Drive is terrifying unless there is
something in place to mitigate the increased bicycle traffic. This should be considered in the RDEIR.
Thank you for allowing me to address my concerns. Please feel free to contact me with questions regarding my comments.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Bloomfield
