SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Mr. Bieter has prepared the attached
draft agreement/special use permit for the City Parks with Ron & Lou Anne Gwartney.
City staff was directed to work with the Gwartneys to develop a proposal that would benefit both
the City and the Gwartneys. The proposal is to allow the Gwartneys to use their umbrella cart anytime from May 25th through September 15th, both days inclusive, in the City Parks and
on John Carey’s property, with his permission. This would allow them to serve any food items that they are able to fit on their cart. Their trailer will be reserved for special events
that are designated in the agreement/permit. Staff has recommended the following special events for use of the trailer. The special events will include the softball tournament schedule
attached, holiday weekends and the arts and crafts fair (date unknown). The recreation department has reviewed the proposal and supports the recommendation to approve the City Parks
Agreement/Special Use Permit & Hawker’s License for the year 2000.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the City Parks Agreement/Special Use Permit & Hawker’s License and authorize the Mayor
to sign.
