SUMMARY STATEMENT:
ITD
has approached the City and asked for our cooperation to design and construct approximately 1,400 feet of improvements to SH 55, south of Deinhard Lane. A shared center turn lane will
be constructed for approximately 1,200 feet south of the intersection. Drainage improvements and a detached sidewalk will also be constructed. A turn lane on the western leg of the intersection
may also be added.
The attached document is an addendum to the existing Cooperative Agreement with ITD (originally created for the Downtown Improvement Project and recently amended
to include the Park Street Turnbay). Certain revisions may be made before the Council meeting. Holladay will design this project.
ITD has agreed to provide the City with $300,000 for
this work. Under no circumstances will the City enter into contracts for more than the amount of ITD’s funding. The total cost, including design and construction management, will be
paid for with ITD funds.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Cooperative Agreement with ITD and authorize the Mayor to sign it.
