SUMMARY STATEMENT:
JUB has identified several items in the J Ditch Phase II project specifications
that should be changed to create a better and more affordable project for the City. A Change Order is being prepared to reflect the additions and deletions to the contract.
Detailed
information on each item will be prepared by JUB prior to Council action. Significant items being negotiated with St. Clair include increasing the storage capacity by 9 million gallons
for an additional cost of approximately $38,000. Several deletions, substitutions and modifications are also being negotiated, resulting in a reduction of approximately $209,000. The
net reductions being negotiated are approximately $171,000.
DEQ is reviewing the proposed Change Order.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize the Mayor to sign Change Order #1 to the J
Ditch Phase II construction contract with St. Clair Contractors, Inc.
