A+Railyard Redevelopment. A+River Revitalization Strategy Implementation. A+Redevelopment projects, including historic preservation and pedestrian enhancements. BCivic and cultural presence in the Downtown. II Protect and enhance the quality of life for Truckee residents by ensuring that new development and redevelopment preserves and enhances our environmental, social and cultural character and assures a positive impact on our long term economic viability. Achieve a balance of housing that serves our workforce while recognizing the economic forces created by the continuing demand for vacation real estate in our community. Priorities: A+ Historic Preservation Program Implementation including National Register District Application, Town Grant Program and outreach information. A+ Railyard Redevelopment. A+River Revitalization Strategy Implementation. A+ General Plan Update Implementation- Including: Development Code, Lighting Guidelines, and Zoning changes to conform with the CLUP. A Continue with activities such as the Memorandum of Agreement for Transportation and collaborative efforts provided through the City County meeting process. ASeek opportunities for enhanced public transit funding. BSeek ways to enhance public communication. IV Strengthen public communication and involve those members of the community who are impacted by specific issues and projects in the development of solutions and strategies. Priorities: A+ General Plan Update Implementation- Including: Development Code, Lighting Guidelines, and Zoning changes to conform with the CLUP. A+Measure A (1/2 cent sales tax for road maintenance) continuation. A+ Recruitment for Town Attorney (May 2009). A+ Monitor and respond to the Town's fiscal health now and in the future while recognizing the important of retaining and recruiting quality employees.
