SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Each year,
Ida–Ore Planning & Development adopts a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The CEDS identifies and prioritizes economic development projects – primarily for federal
funding agencies. Staff has reviewed potential projects, the draft Comprehensive Plan and the McCall Improvement Committee’s Project List. The following projects are proposed for submittal
to Ida–Ore, in rank order:
Highway 55 Corridor Improvements. $2,500,000. Sidewalks, drainage, limited water & sewer, other streetscape improvements on the ‘south corridor’ and ‘west
corridor.’
McCall Ice Rink & Events Center. $700,000. Public improvements around the proposed ice rink, including streetscaping, sewer and stormwater.
Airport Sewer Project. $600,000.
Extension of sewer lines to/across the airport, allowing additional FBOs and industrial development near the airport.
Downtown Parking. $900,000. Purchase and development of two parking
lots.
Payette Lake Water Quality Improvement. $600,000. Install stormwater treatment at key drainage outlets, utilizing best management practices (BMP).
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt
the list of economic development projects for the CEDS and submit to Ida–Ore.
