SUMMARY
STATEMENT:
Several months ago, ITD, together with the City, issued an RFP for design services for the East/West Loop Project. Several responses were received and Toothman-Orton was selected
through a competitive evaluation process. Both ITD and the City evaluated the proposals.
The scope of services includes completion of the Concept Report (originally contracted to HDR
Engineering), Public Involvement, Preliminary Design, Bridge Design, Final Design, Right-of-Way Plans, PS&E, and Project Management. The final design will be completed and a bid package
prepared by April 16, 2002.
The contract is for a total amount of not-to-exceed $640,000. Funding is being provided by the Federal Highway Administration (FhwA) and Valley County. Project
management is being handled by ITD. The contract is currently being reviewed by ITD’s Internal Review section and the City Attorney. A draft copy is available in the City Clerk’s office.
RECOMMEND
