NOW BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Article 8 Compensation Plan of the City of Jefferson Personnel Policy Manual is hereby amended by amending Section 8-15 to read as follows: Sec. 8-15. — Stand-by/on-call status. (a) The following shall be the criteria for treatment of personnel who are required to carry a communications device. (1) Pay. Any non-exempt employee who is required to carry a communication device after regular duty hours, on weekends, or on holidays shall be id are not fequifed to compensated at the following rates on aper -day basis: a. for weekdays, an amount equal to one (1) hour of the base pay ofa rg ade 10 employee; or b. for weekends and holidays, an amount equal to two and one-half (2_5) times one LL hour of the base oay of arg ade 10 employee. (2) This section shall not apply to employees who are provided a communications device as a convenience in communications only and are not required to maintain a state of readiness for dui as is required of on-call status. (3) Schedule. Supervisors who have determined a need within their areas of responsibility for regularly scheduled stand-by shall prepare a duty roster to provide, whenever possible, one month's notice to those employees who are providing the service. The term of service shall normally be one week in length. Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
