Both agencies intend on working in unison to detect and apprehend people that are DUI of alcohol or drugs, minors in possession of alcohol, and using motor vehicles to conduct drug trafficking activities. This grant has already been awarded and accepted. AMOUNT OF GRANT: $ 26,560.00 MATCH: $ 8994.00 (B) Highway Safety Grant: The purpose of this grant is to reduce the risk of fatal injuries by enforcement, encouragement and education regarding the use of safety restraints and child safety seats. The goal is to purchase additional in-car cameras and provide the public with informative handouts to promote safety restraints AMOUNT OF GRANT: $8175.00 MATCH: $2725.00 (C) Universal Hiring Grant: We have applied for this grant with the projection of bringing on one additional officer over a three-year period. We are still evaluating the need for an additional officer and have the option to accept or reject this grant if awarded The federal grant would pay: (75% the first year [GRANT AMOUNT $30,633.00 MATCH: $10,211] (50% the second year [GRANT AMOUNT $ 23,354.00 MATCH $23,354.00] (25% the last year [GRANT AMOUNT $12,485.00 MATCH $49,941]. (D) Juvenile Justice Grant: Called the McCall Youth Accountability Program that will involve a tour to the Idaho Correctional Institute [Orofino]. Juveniles will participate in a program facilitated by both prison inmates and staff to address problems that lead to delinquent behavior.
