SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall Improvement
Committee has sponsored a design competition to select an entrance sign design for the community. Entrance signs, and other wayfinding signs, are a high priority in the Gem Community
Action Plan. The design submitted by Network Architects was selected, and further refined by Network Architects and the South Corridor Task Force. The South Corridor Task Force and West
Corridor Task Force have identified sites for the entrance signs. An agreement has not been reached with the owner of the west entrance site.
Mike Anderson, representing the Leeta Anderson
Animal Foundation, has agreed to donate an easement to the City for the southern entrance sign, on the former McCall Veterinary Clinic site. The easement area is 30'x40'. The executed
easement agreement is attached.
Larry Dammerman, representing Lonesome Dove Construction, has agreed to assist the McCall Improvement Committee with the funding and construction of
the entrance sign. No City funds will be used for the entrance sign.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept the donation of the easement from The Leeta Anderson Animal Foundation, Inc. and the
entrance sign from Lonesome Dove Construction, LLC.; and authorize the Mayor to execute all necessary agreements.
