SUMMARY STATEMENT: City Code requires Council affirmation of department head appointments. The City Manager, with the assistance of the Airport Advisory
Committee and acting Airport Manager, has selected Michael Becker as the new airport manager, subject to Council affirmation and acceptance by Mr. Becker. The City Manager will negotiate
terms of employment with Mr. Becker and extend a contingent offer on August 21st. Mr. Becker is a Certified Airport Manager currently residing in Minnesota. He was the unanimous choice
of the AAC, Acting Airport Manager, and City Manager.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Affirm the City Manager’s appointment of Mr. Becker as the new Airport Manager, contingent upon successful
negotiations.
