SUMMARY STATEMENT:
DEQ
has contracted with Lance Holloway, Idaho Association of Soil Conservation Districts, to assist local communities with the preparation of Source Water Protection Plans. Lance will explain
source water protection planning, and implementation of protection measures.
The Cities of Cascade and Donnelly, as well as the Valley County Commissioners, have already agreed to a
cooperative, county-wide source water protection effort.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Develop a Drinking Water Protection Plan, in cooperation with Lance Holloway and DEQ; and provide appropriate
staff to assist in its development and review.
