C Randomize .c5 d < o= 0 3 c 0 0 0 ° `o o m O i u u —u Y The current Community Center is too small to offer the facilities and programs that the A community wants. A new Community Center 1 2 3 4 98 99 will greatly improve the recreation, educational and performing arts opportunities for residents - especially during winter months. Recreation provides kids with positive B alternatives to drugs, gangs and crime. We 1 2 3 4 98 99 need to support the kids in this community. Right now kids in our community must travel to Reno (Ree-No) for sports like soccer, often C during bad weather. A new Community Center 1 2 3 4 98 99 will provide safer and better recreation options near home. The 14 acre site for the new Community Center D was donated to the District. A majority of the 1 2 3 4 98 99 land will be preserved as open space. If the new Community Center is built, the old E building may be used to expand the local 1 2 3 4 98 99 Library. The current Community Center does not have room for activities and programs for adults, F seniors, or those with special needs. The new 1 2 3 4 98 99 Community Center will serve the entire community- not just kids. This 1 2 3 4 98 99 measure will add another 30 year tax on top of this debt. This tax is not needed. We already have a B Community Center, and both the high school 1 2 3 4 98 99 and the middle school are building new gyms. If we build a new Community Center, it is going C to promote growth by attracting more residents 1 2 3 4 98 99 and visitors. The local school district is proposing a tax measure for the March 2005 ballot, which D should be the priority for our community. We 1 2 3 4 98 99 simply can't afford to support both measures. Section 8: Second Ballot Test Sometimes people change their mind about a ballot measure once they have more information about it.
