FLORIDA SPECIAL COMMISSION MEETING MARCH 2, 1989 9 a.m. GULF STREAM TOWN HALL This special meeting is being called in order to interview prospective town managers. GWYNN Assistant Town Manager-Town Clerk BARBARA GWYNN Chief of Police JAMES GREER TOWN OF GULF STREAM PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA COMMISSIONERS MAIL ADDRESS Mayor Koch announced this meeting as the continuation of the Special Meeting of February 21, 1989 called for the purpose of considering applications for the position of Town Manager as advertised and required, under the laws of the State of Florida. Roll Call Present: William F. Koch, Jr. Alan I. Armour James C. Cross James T. Skelly, Jr. Lawrence E. Stahl Also present: William Gwynn Barbara Gwynn James Greer Clarence Sova Richard Brandt Charles Winston William Souder Robert Dixson Mayor Vice -Mayor Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner Town Manager Town Clerk Chief of Police Supervisor, Public Works Code Enforcement Officer President, Civic Association Mr. Gwynn announced the arrival of two (late) resumes. Copies of same were distributed to the Commissioners and were immediately taken under consideration. Mr. Gwynn reported on his telephone conversations with applicants stating three applicants withdrew , one accepted a position elsewhere and two will appear for interview this date namely, Franklin Flannery and Jim Gallagher. Mr. Gwynn summarized-his telephone conversations with Mes.,ws. Flannery and Gallagher on salary, availability, familiarity with the area, etc. The Commission agreed the applicants will meet with the Civic Association after this meeting. on the toss of a coin Mr. Flannery was interviewed first with questions from the Commission and from the floor and response by Mr. Flannery until 9:40 a.m. 100 SEA ROAD WILLIAM F. William F. Koch, Mayor. The Commission thanked Mr. Flannery. Mr. Gallagher cane before the Commission and distributed packets of information to each Commissioner. The interview proceeded with questions from the Commission and the floor until 10:10 a.m. Mr. Gallagher was asked to be available to meet with the Civic Association after this meeting. The Commission thanked Mr. Gallagher. The Commission discussed the interviews. Discussion ensued on the need for a decision on this matter. The meeting was adjourned at 10:20 a.m. on motion duly made and seconded. Town Cler
