AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE INDIANA
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENTS SOURCE REDUCTION RECYCLING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s Source Reduction Recycling Program has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Street Department desires to submit a grant application to assist with the purchase of a new leaf collector and a leaf vacuum;
WHEREAS, a local match will come from the 2002 Street Department Capital Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s Source Reduction Recycling Program to assist with the
purchase of a new leaf collector and leaf vacuum.
The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Twenty-five Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($25,750.00).
Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to assist with the purchase of a new leaf collector and a leaf vacuum.
Passed and adopted this 15th day of October, 2001, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
