CALL TO ORDER
The April 30, 2010, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:03 P.M. by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Griffith, Harvey, Koon, Medin, *Pope (arrived at 12:08 P.M.), Scrivner
and Struemph
Absent: Carroll, Ferguson, and Penfold
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
City Administrator Steve Rasmussen explained the possible need to have a Special City
Council meeting on Monday, May 10 to introduce a bill authorizing a sewer agreement with
the City of Taos. He stated the funding for the sewer project is time sensitive.
*Councilman Pope arrived at this point in the meeting.
City Administrator Steve Rasmussen suggested that the Council may want to consider
moving Resolutions RS2010 -3 and RS2010 -4 up on the agenda to be approved before the
introduction of Bill 2010 -14 designating the Landmark Awards.
Assistant Community Director Charles Lansford explained the changes to the compost site
which will be voted on at the May 17 Council meeting. He will make a presentation Monday
night and answer any questions the Council may have at that time.
Mayor John Landwehr stated he had to leave the meeting early, and turned the Chair over
to President Pro Tempore Ron Medin at 12:24 P.M. to conduct the remainder of the
meeting.
City Administrator Steve Rasmussen reminded the Council that the proposed annual fee
increases have been circulated and stated that if the Council has any questions or
objections to any of the proposed increases they should let him know. Otherwise, the fees
will go into effect, as set out in the Code.
