SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Federal-aid Highway Funds are available for specific local roads. The Local Highway Technical Assistance
Council (LHTAC) receives applications for funding and makes recommendations to the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD). ITD then adopts the Surface Transportation Improvement Program
(STIP) Rural, which identifies the projects that will receive federal-aid funds. A 7.34% local cash match is required.
Of the eligible roads in McCall, Boydstun Street is most in need
of improvement. Holladay Engineering is preparing an application for a complete reconstruction of the roadway, realignment of the intersection with SH55, vertical and horizontal realignment
where appropriate, drainage improvements, acquisition of additional right-of-way, and a multi-use path. The total cost of the improvements is estimated to be approximately $1,856,000.
The required local match is approximately $130,000.
The application requests that federal-aid funds be programmed for FY05 or FY06. The local match must also be available in FY05 or
FY06. The project is being scheduled for construction after the East/West Loop is completed.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution #01-03.
