SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The
attached pages reflect three options for staffing changes in the Community Development Department. In each case, one-time expenses are incurred to provide an office, desk, computer,
etc.
There is approximately $20,000 available from salary savings within the Finance Department that could be used this fiscal year and in future fiscal years. The current part-time
position has an annual budget allocation of $23,700. A change to a full-time position would require $3,800 in additional continuing funding, after allocation of salary savings in the
Finance Department and current position costs.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Direct staff to change the staffing structure in the Community Development Department to eliminate the part-time
grant position and create a full-time assistant planner/grant coordinator position.
