SUMMARY
STATEMENT: The City prepared a Statement of Qualification solicitation for a construction manager/engineer for the Water Treatment Plant. Only one candidate submitted a response.
The response did meet the expectations in our SOQ. Based on this, we have asked them to prepare a proposal that will become the basis for negotiation resulting in an agreement. Additionally,
the City Manager invited the candidate to attend the March 16th value engineering meeting with CNI and the City to assist in their proposal efforts. Once they complete the proposal
the City Manager and one or two members of Council will negotiate a proposed agreement for Council approval. The agreement will be contingent upon securing SRF loan funds for completion
of the project.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Designate up to two members of Council to join the City Manager and negotiate a proposed agreement for construction management services.
