AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE HAYWARD AVENUE PUMP STATION
AND FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT/CONTRACT NO. 04-11
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution #05-37, the Borough of Carteret ("Borough")
authorized the preparation of bid specifications and contract documents and
advertisement for receipt of bids for the Hayward Avenue Pump Station and Force Main
Replacement Project/Contract No. 04-11; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has previously received bids for said project on June 9, 2005;
and
WHEREAS, Band B Construction Co., LLC, 175 Ramtown-Greenville Road, Howell,
N.J. 07731, submitted the lowest bid for said work as evidence by the response on file
with the Borough's Purchasing Department and Borough's Consulting Engineer for the
Project as follows:

$923,018.19
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer, Hatch Mott MacDonald, has reviewed
the above referenced bid proposal(s) and has recommended an award of a contract for the
Base Bid; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for the award of a contract for said work.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret, County of Middlesex and State of New Jersey as follows:
1. That the Borough hereby awards the bid for the Hayward Avenue Pump
Station and Force Main Replacement Project/Contract No. 04-11 to Band B
Construction Co., LLC, Ramtown-Greenville Road, Howell, N.J. 07731, in
the amount of$923,018.19 for the Base Bid.
2. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized and directed to
enter into a contract with Band B Construction Co., LLC, for Hayward
Avenue Pump Station and Force Main Replacement Project/Contract No. 04-
11 in the amount of $923,018.19 and in accordance in all respects with the
request for proposals and bid on the same.
3. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department and Hatch Mott MacDonald for distribution to Band
B Construction Co., LLC.
Adopted this 21" day of July, 2005
and certified as a true copy of the
original on July 22, 2005.
