SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Attached is the first pay application from Masco for the Park Street Turnbay project. This request includes pipe that
was purchased at about the time the contract was awarded to Masco. The early purchase saved several thousand dollars. Keller Engineering recommends approval of the pay request for $16,471.76.
Also
attached are work estimates and associated paperwork from Idaho Power and Citizens Communication regarding the burial of utility cables. The electrical burial will cost the City $53,900.
Burial of the phone cables will cost the City $29,103.64. Charter Communications will place their overhead lines underground at no charge to the City.
Last fall, the estimated cost
and budgeted amount for this work was $69,710. These charges exceed the budget by $13,293.64. Masco’s bid for the other construction was less than the budgeted amount, resulting in a
net savings to the project.
