CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Carrie Tergin called the October 18, 2021 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at
5:45 P.M. to review the agenda.
ATTENDANCE
The following Councilmembers were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Hensley, Kemna, Lester, Spencer, Spicer, Vogt, and Ward
Absent: Schreiber and Wiseman
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilmember Ward will lead the prayer.
Miscellaneous
- Director of Cole County’s Health Department, Kristi Campbell will attend virtually
to provide a pandemic update.
- There are two proclamations being presented tonight.
- The new, Helias High School President John Knight will be introduced.
Public Hearing
- A public hearing is scheduled for introduced bill 2021-060 related to City ward
redistricting.
Presentations from Staff, Consultants & Invited Guests
- Representatives from Columbia Regional Airport will provide an update.
Consent Agenda
- Councilmember Fitzwater would like to vote on items a. and b. separately so a
discussion can be had on item b. Authorizing a Compensation Study Request for
Proposal.
Bills Introduced
- City Staff presented their respective introduced bills.
- Councilmember Fitzwater will request to suspend the rules on bill 2021-062 for
third reading and final passing.
Bills Pending
- City Staff presented their respective pending bills.
