SUMMARY STATEMENT:
In order to establish fees the ordinance needs to be amended to authorize Council to establish fees by resolution.
In addition, the current ordinance requires payments to be made
to the “traffic section” of the City Treasurer’s office. The city does not have a traffic section so that language has been stricken from the ordinance.
This agenda item was to be
open for public comment on the second Council Meeting in September. Staff asked the agenda item be tabled until October 24, 2002.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Suspend the rules, read by
title only second and third reading Ordinance No. 768, Adopt Ordinance No. 768 and authorize the Mayor to sign.
