RESOLUTION 2019-45
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE, CALIFORNIA
MODIFYING THE SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES FOR TOWN SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee has conducted an extensive analysis of its services,
the costs reasonably borne of providing those services, the beneficiaries of those services, and
the revenues produced by those paying fees and charges for special services; and
WHEREAS, the Town wishes to comply with both the letter and the spirit of Article
XIIIB of the California Constitution and limit the growth of taxes; and
WHEREAS, the Town has established a policy of recovering the full costs reasonably
borne of providing special services of a voluntary and limited nature through the enactment of
Ordinance 98-04 and Resolution 98-39, such that general taxes are not diverted from general
services of a broad nature and thereby utilized to subsidize unfairly and inequitably such special
services; and
WHEREAS, the Town wishes to apply an annual inflationary adjustment to the fee
schedule to ensure appropriate cost recovery.

NOW THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE DOES
RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Fee Schedule Modification. The fee schedule modifications are hereby
adopted and replace the fee schedule adopted by Resolution 2018-61 relative to fees charged
for Town Services.
Section 2. Effective Date. The new fee schedule is effective November 1, 2019.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced by Council Member Klovstad, seconded
by Council Member Polivy, at a regular meeting of the Truckee Town Council, held on the
27th day of August, 2019, and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Council Member Abrams, Council Member Klovstad, Council Member
Polivy, and Mayor Tirman.
NOES: none.
ABSENT: none.
