1. CALL TO ORDER: Hilary Hobbs called the meeting to order at 5:03 pm.
2. ROLL CALL: Committee Members: Luis Manuel Gaitan Meza, Daniella Paniagua, Nicholas
Sielchan, David Tirman, and Nick Visconti.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT - This is an opportunity for members of the public to address the Council on items which
are not on this agenda. Please state your name for the record. Comments are limited to three minutes. Written
comments should be submitted to the Town Clerk 24 hours prior to the meeting to allow for distribution. Under state
law the Council cannot take action on an item not on the agenda. The Council may choose to acknowledge the
comment or,where appropriate, briefly answer a question, refer the matter to staff,or set the item for discussion at a
future meeting.

5. CONSENT CALENDAR
5.1 Minutes of March 18, 2019 and May 20, 2019 committee meetings.
o A motion was made by Committee Member Tirman to approve the March 18, 2019
minutes. The motion was seconded by Committee Member Seilchan.
o Committee members Visconti and Meza were absent for the March 18 meeting
and could not vote on the approval of the minutes.
Ayes: Committee Members Tirman, Seilchan, and Paniagua.
Noes: none.
Absent: none.
Abstained: Committee Members Visconti and Meza.
The motion passed (3-0).
o A motion was made by Committee Member Gaitan Meza to approve the May 20, 2019
minutes. The motion was seconded by Committee Member Paniagua.
o Approved with edits to Committee Member Sielchan being absent at the May 20,
2019 meeting.
Ayes: Committee Member Meza, Paniagua, Visconti, and Tirman.
Noes: none.
Absent: none.
Abstained: Committee Member Sielchan.
The motion passed (4-0).
6. DISCUSSION ITEMS
6.1 Committee Member updates and discussion regarding responses to Sister City outreach.
o Committee member Hobbs provided Canmore's Municipal Development Plan (on file
with the Town Clerk).
• Committee Member Tirman will follow up with Nick Martin, Administrative Analyst
II to verify if the document was circulated.
o Noted the similarity between Truckee and Canmore.
o Opportunity in October to meet Mayor Borrowman as he will be here for a visit to attend
the Mountain Town Planners Summit occurring in South Lake Tahoe.
o Suggest an itinerary for the visit in October, so that he might have an opportunity to meet
with members of the Truckee Sister Cities Committee.
o Committee agreed to cancel the August meeting and meet again at the regularly
scheduled meeting in September to plan the visit of Mayor Borrowman.
7. ADJOURNMENT m Meeting adjourned at 5:23 pm.
