A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE APPROVING THE
BUILDING EQUITY AND GROWTH IN NEIGHBORHOODS (BEGIN) PROGRAM DOWN
PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM GUIDELINES
WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee has previously entered into agreements with the State
of California, Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) to fund down payment
assistance loans with BEGIN Program funding; and
WHEREAS, initial loans that are re-paid become BEGIN Reuse funds eligible for re-
lending to eligible applicants; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee of Truckee has determined that increasing the maximum
BEGIN Reuse loan amount will assist first-time homebuyers in Truckee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE TOWN COUNCIL
as follows:
The Town Council approves the BEGIN Down Payment Assistance Program Guidelines revised
February 25, 2020.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced by Council Member Tirman, seconded by
Council Member Abrams, at a Regular Meeting of the Truckee Town Council, held on the
25th day of February, 2020, and adopted by the following vote.
AYES: Council Member Tirman, Council Member Abrams, Vice Mayor Klovstad
and Mayor Polivy.
NOES: none.
ABSENT: Council Member Commendatore.
