SUMMARY
STATEMENT:
The McCall Historic Preservation Commission has been meeting regularly since June. One Commission goal for the current year is to apply to become a Certified Local Government
Program, through the Idaho State Historical Society/State Historic Preservation Office. The purposes of a CLG are to do an inventory of local historic properties, encourage preservation,
and to designate eligible local properties to the National Register of Historic Places. One benefit of becoming a CLG is eligibility to receive grants through the State Historic Preservation
Office to do work related to the Historic Register process.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve CLG application, and authorize the Mayor to sign.
