SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The old contract with the FAA expired in late September and the FAA was unwilling to renew the contract.
A new contractor is required to keep the NDB operational. AMSI (the proposed new contractor) will provide the identical service as the FAA did, but for a fraction of the cost. FAA
annual rate was $4,000.00. AMSI annual rate is $3,120.00.
This contract is only good for one year and must be renewed at the end of each year.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the
contract and authorize the mayor to sign.
