SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The
Airport has budgeted for a new truck in FY 03. The Airport has selected a truck from Meridian Ford and would like to enter into a lease agreement.
The Airport Manager and Finance
Director are asking for approval of the lease prior to having the paperwork due to the fact that the purchase price on the vehicle will increase after the end of December. US Bank
and Meridian Ford have presented quotes for a lease. They cannot finalize the quotes and the lease agreement until the truck is built and a VIN number is available. The lease will
include a non appropriation’s clause and will require the City Attorney’s approval. The lease will require 5 annual payments for a maximum of $5,600. The total purchase price for the
F250 Ford truck is $24,540.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the lease agreement for a new truck with a purchase price of $24,540, pending the city attorney’s review and approval and
the Finance Director’s consent, and authorize the Mayor to sign the lease agreement
