SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Mayor Colton requested a revision to the open container ordinance allowing staff to approve waiving the open container ordinance instead of Council. The attached ordinance will give
the City Manager the authority to make the decision with concurrence of the Fire Department and Police Department.
Should Council choose not to adopt the ordinance, a resolution will
be presented in order to waive the open container ordinance for the Winter Carnival events.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Suspend the rules, read by title only, one time only Ordinance
No. 774. Adopt Ordinance No. 774 and authorize the Mayor to sign.
