Please, please for the long term health and character of our neighborhoods, please consider some type of provision that STIR owners must occupy their properties as a primary residence for at least 6 months each year. Otherwise,STIR operations facilitate out-of-town buyers purchasing and operating STRs purely for profit with no personal knowledge or stake in the character and well-being of our neighborhoods. We live in such a beautiful area that our town is unfortunately prone to this kind of exploitation.
