Hi, I am a professional property manager who just went through this process with one of the homes I manage in the Northstar
community.Your proposed ordinance is very similar to theirs which is nice since you are adjacent. One difference I do see however
is the requirement that all BBQ grills be 10 feet from any flammable structure. I do not believe Placer County has that requirement.
Frankly, I think that is overly cautious. Many homes only have small decks and have,for years, had hard-plumbed gas grills that sit
adjacent to the building.Are you aware of any fires having started this way? I'm highly doubtful as most gas BBQs I've ever seen are
situated thusly. I would request that you remove this clause or maybe modify it such that the concern is only for overhanging
building structures within 10 feet?Thank you for your consideration.
