Swarms of vacationeers left Tahoe's towns, beaches and back country trails littered with trash, poop and graffiti.Traffic clogged our roads leaving just one lane, in some cases,to get by. If there had been a fire or other emergency lives would have been surely lost as a result. It's time to crack down on VRBO's,AirBNB's and the like.They are contributing to not only a loss of character of our unique communities but are increasing costs without contributing anything to defray those costs.We are also still smack dab in the middle of the worst pandemic to hit America in over a century. Short Term Rentals are bringing the potential for increased cases to over-burdened healthcare systems that will have devastating effects on our full time residents.
