Our neighborhoods are crawling with tourists who are oblivious that they have full- time,working neighbors.We have had people in our yard and in the street partying all hours of the night.We've had STIR renters literally catch our shared green space(wooded)on fire from illegal fire rings. It's different people every few days playing loud music, hosting parties,arguing and screaming at each other outside their houses,dogs and kids our yards.We have had to repeatedly contact the home owner behind us because the renters leave ALL of the lights on at all hours of the night, including porch and deck lights that flood the forest with light.We've left notes about incessant barking dogs left unattended on decks.We have neighbors that have experienced theft and property damage.There is a house down the street that rents to huge parties and there are always 10+cars parked on the street and loud music. We've even seen people partying on the roof of this particular residence and beer pong in the street.There are also major issues with parking and commuting in the winter because irresponsible tourists drive their 2wd cars here and then block the whole neighborhood when it snows, not to mention endangering the safety of other motorists and pedestrians and sometimes we are stuck because our only exits from the neighbored are blocked.We love it here as 13 yr locals but the madness of unregulated STRs has to stop!!! I do agree that home owners should be able to make some passive income from their homes,especially full-time locals, but the disrespect to our neighborhoods is getting out of control. Please regulate this insanity before we LOOSE our mountain home for good.Truckee is the new South Lake Tahoe and we live here because it's NOT South Lake Tahoe.
