I am unable to find affordable housing in the area. I believe most of the property that could be long term rentals are instead being used as short term rentals. I believe this harms local workers, because there are very few properties available,causing the cost of rent to become un-affordable for local blue collar workers; even for a bedroom in a shared unit. I believe if there was a limit on short term rentals it would help to drive the rental rates down by creating more availability of long term rentals. Please help the working class of Truckee out.
