5.02.050 Prohibitions, Part D: "All grills and barbecues shall be no less than ten (10)feet away from a structure...". We are on a hill,
have a kitchen on the second floor, and a standard gas grill on the deck off the kitchen that we(and our guests) use for cooking. It's
not under any trees or overhanging structures-just open sky(we cover it in the winter). If I'm reading this correctly,the deck is a
"structure", and the grill would need to be 10 feet away...which would put it downstairs and out in the yard or driveway... I'm sure
that can't be the intent of this-can you please clarify? If that actually is the case, we'd object,as the grill is in no position to cause
any more of a fire than the gas stove burners inside the house. If the prohibition stands as-is, would it suffice to have the grill locked
from guest use and only the owners have access? It would be a shame not to be able to grill at our own home.
