See below for some ideas that property owners managers need to follow g-3 Strikes your out for breaking the rules-Strict and sensible occupancy limits(maximum 2 people per bedroom)-Reducing the number of STRs- specifically limiting them in areas that are 100%zoned residential. -Parking; limit the number of vehicles to what fit in the driveway- Safety/fire inspections annually(paid for by property owner) -Mandatory use of bear boxes and ZERO tolerance for spilled garbage, set a minimum#of trash cans needed per square foot/bedroom,etc.-Property owner/manager must be available 24/7 within 30 minutes and their contact information clearly listed on the bear box-Strict'quiet hours'-Annual permit required-Taxed at a higher rater than hotels-A portion of their taxes goes directly to affordable housing-Also I will be adding comment that; STRs are nothing short of a commercial entity-essentially a micro-hotel allowed in residential zones-they are taxed the same as commercial lodging yet have none of the healthy and safety standards.Aside from financial gain for the owner/property manager they do not contribute to our community in a positive manner.They DO NOT increase the quality of life for residents in any way.
