We live next to 2 STR's, and until you experience the mayhem for yourself,you cant possible understand the importance of good regulation. The bottom line is enforcement,very difficult to accomplish. For instance my neighbor is not here, rarely comes to Truckee, isn't available for any problems, doesn't have a management company. Basically all renters that show up have no idea of any requirements,trash collection, BBQ use. dog leash laws, noise ordinances, etc He is happy collecting the$$$and doesn't bother with anything else. I am tired of calling TD compliance and don't want to involve the police. The STIR situation is out of control.
