My family has enjoyed all that TD has to offer,as well as the community. I have been renting it out since the beginning of ownership(way before AirBnB began),to help pay for maintenance and expenses. In these 19 years, have never had a complaint about the house related to STIR renters.Also, I have had a spot-light timer malfunction.A kind neighbor who was bothered by the light unscrewed the bulb and left a note. On the rare occasion I bump into my immediate neighbors, I always check in about their experience with my house.Years past, I had long-term renters who did earn a complaint about a tow-truck in the driveway.A local worker who had to live somewhere nearby, but apparently, his work vehicle was not allowed to be parked in TD.The renters I have had the most trouble with (damage to the house,lease breaking,etc) have been seasonal employees on a multi-month lease. But on the larger scale,when I think about all that has transpired in recent years, the scapegoating and accusing,it just doesn't fit in with my experience. It is quite sad and disappointing. I am sure the complaints about party houses and noise,garbage issues,speeding,etc.are happening, but to project that and demonize a particular user group is beyond wrong. In that vein, I disagree with any and all policies treating some homes differently than others,ie.charging more for STIR home infractions and complaints,different rates or access for guests,etc.As a homeowner, I contribute equally to all TDA fees,amenities,assessments, local taxes,etc.Of course, local full-time residents occasionally are loud,speed, have a garbage or light mishaps,etc. Maybe even more often...?Please consider that any and all decisions this committee and board make that separate people from each other,will have far-reaching and potentially damaging effects on our precious community,ongoingly. lf your comment exceeds 2000 characters, please use the attachment function below to attach your comment in a separate document.
