STR's have had a significant negative impact in Tahoe Donner and the town of Truckee.The town is far too small for the number of visitors.Visitors are not educated with respect to garbage(bears and other animals) and tend to party late into the night- not caring about the noise impact on those that work in the am.What is most troubling to me is we all are well aware that climate change is having a very negative impact on the snow-pack,wildlife,the environment as a whole.There is a lot of lip service paid to climate change, but no substantive actions are taken to protect the environment because everyone wants more money,more growth.Truckee/Tahoe is over-built and now over-populated.The infrastructure cannot handle the number of visitors. While the problems far exceed STR's-the growth of STR's in our area has had yet another significant negative impact. Please take all possible actions to limit STR's, I wish they could be stopped entirely. I would also encourage the Town to stop allowing any further development and try to purchase remaining open space areas and donate to the land trust or another agency that will stop the development.Something has to give-it can't just be left to the States and Feds,actions to curb climate change and protect what remains of the dwindling biodiversity must be taken at the local level.Thank you for your consideration. lf your comment exceeds 2000 characters, please use the attachment function below to attach your comment in a separate document.
